^B29 Enter Pass-Through Mode

Allows direct communication with the PBX. In Pass-Through Mode, data can be received

directly from the PBX in order to check for correct reception. Commands can also be sent

directly to the PBX. While Pass-Through Mode is active, additional call records will not be

stored.

If you are communicating with the PollCat III via the Modem Port, the Pass-Through Mode

also permits direct communication with the device connected to the Computer Port. If

necessary, this allows the user to access a connected device (such as your PBX maintenance

port) via modem.

The Pass-Through Mode features 4 Kbyte buffering in both directions to prevent overflow

problems. Command ^B29 offers the following options:

PBX Port A: To access the PBX connected to PBX Port A, type ^B29,A [Enter]. The

system will display the "PBX-A READY" message.

PBX Port B: To access the PBX connected to PBX Port B, type ^B29,B [Enter]. The

system will display the "PBX-B READY" message.

Computer Port: If you are communicating with the unit via the Modem Port, you can also

access the device connected to the Computer Port. Type ^B29,C [Enter], the system will

return the "READY" message.

Note: To leave the Pass-Through Mode and return to the Command Mode, type

^B30 [Enter].

CAUTION: Please refer to the PBX User's Manual for further instructions. Do

not attempt to alter the configuration or access codes of the PBX unless you are

authorized to do so.

^ B30 Exit to Command Mode

Exits from Data Release Mode, Send Continuous Test Message Mode, Echo Test Mode, Pass-

Through Mode, or Monitor Mode and returns to Command Mode. Type ^B30 [Enter].

^ B37 Load and Test Memory

Tests internal memory. When Command ^B37 is invoked, PollCat III will clear all internal

RAM memory, and load a test pattern, which is then used to verify memory condition.

CAUTION: When Command ^B37 is invoked, all data stored in PollCat III's

internal memory will be lost.

The test will require seven seconds for every 256K of memory. If no problems are detected ,

the "COMPLETE" message will be sent. If a memory error is detected, PollCat III will send a

message similar to the example below:

ERROR: --> SOCKET: 1MB, CHIP: M1

If the test indicates a memory error, please contact WTI Customer Service as shown in

Appendix H. To begin the memory test, type ^B37 [Enter].
